Social Return On Investment (SROI) is rapidly spreading around the world, as practitioners are searching for new methodologies to measure and appreciate returns on investment which do not limit themselves to monetary returns. Social and environmental benefits and impacts are increasingly valued as key elements to reach sustainable changes. SROI can assist policy makers, businesses, development agencies and M&E experts to understand, appreciate and express social and environmental results.
Context International Cooperation and its partners have piloted a number of SROI cases in Africa, Latin America and Asia. Context actively engages in a SROI network of practitioners and academic resource persons interested in SROI and have organized a one day Seminar on March 16, 2009 to allow stock taking, exchange and reflection on the SROI methodology.
